Ferrets reunited – and it feels so good! :)

With Roxy Insulinomic and needing her Pred twice a day it was either take her with me (like I did last time) when I go away for cat shows or have someone I trust care for her that will give her her twice daily meds. So this trip I took both her and Sassy (so she had someone familiar) down to Little Dudes Ferret Ranch, the shelter they (and my other three) came from. Terri, the shelter mom, has lots of ferrets that needs meds so there’s really no one I would trust more. She’s dealt with every sort of health issue ferrets and has many permanent hospice residents at the shelter. Roxy and Sassy were quite mopey this weekend at the shelter – they really seemed to miss me and the rest of the “family”. They greeted me this kisses and I filmed this when we got home. To donate to Little Dudes Ferret Ranch go to www.littledudesferretranch.com You can also buy my CD single “Little Star”. 100% of the profits ( of every CD) goes right to the shelter – www.ferretocious.comFerrets are wonderful pets but a LOT of work and very expensive to care for. Please read “Ferrets for Dummies” cover to cover before considering getting one – tinyurl.com Ferrets are also often surrendered to shelters by those that can’t afford to or no longer want to care for them. So please check shelters when you decide to get a ferret. All of my ferrets (and cats and dog) are all from shelters. Ferret shelters by state – www.ferret.org

09 ferret barleylife

This is Rocks Ann, our Sable ferret. We adopted her from Brittmoore Animal Hospital (Houston, TX) back in 2007. She is 4 or 5 years old. We learned on July 13, 2009 that she has lymphoma when Dr. Rieman felt her lymph nodes and they were swollen. Rocks Ann has been on barley grass and a lymphatic cleanser since July 14, 2009. And today, October 9, 2009, she is still alive. The others before her went very quickly after their cancer was discovered. I wanted to conduct an experiment with the BarleyLife, to determine its power. Rocks Ann is thriving instead of dying. So far, so good. BarleyLife, in case you’re wondering, is a raw green juice concentrate that provides humans, as well as animals, optimum nutrition — chlorophyll, live enzymes, and potent antioxidants. All you do is mix it in water and suck it down — like Rocks Ann does in the attached video. And mind you, I’ve been giving her a very high dose and she just loves it. The ferret really wants to live. Enjoy the video.

Feeding Time at the Zoo (Ferret Style)

Great how to for making healthy ferret meals! I show you how I make each ferret their own special cocktail. You know from this video who owns who in this zoo! The 3 little fuzz-butts who reside here certainly hold all the cards! This is how I make dinner every night for them.
